General Election

So happy for being able to vote for the first time in the GE, thought the voting slip seems a bit pathetic.

Seems like everyone is following the opposition parties’ rallies, hence kind of felt pressurized to follow suit. Especially Aljunied GRC led by Mr Low Thia Kiang from Workers’ Party. His party generally attacks the property prices for being too high and questions PAP for their housing policies.

What I cannot stand is, while they are trying to rally for support from people with the same sentiments for the housing prices, they cannot come up with suggestions or solutions to rectify the problem. Either that, or they kept harping on all the other mistakes PAP had made in the past, e.g. Mas Selamat, or Temasek’s lost of $60 Billion worth of investments etc..

What i admire in a party, be it PAP or other oppositions, is that they follow to their ideologies. Workers’ Party for example. They should be fighting for better rights and welfare for workers against their employers. However as PAP successfully came up with policies to rectify employment issues, encouraged foreign investments and created better working conditions for current workers, hence WP didn’t mention anything about these aspects. Instead, they were only interested in high property prices.

Didn’t manage to listen to SPP, SDP and RP’s speeches. Damn du lan after listening to WP’s alone. argh…

Please let PAP emerge as ruling party again!
